Start With Why
Many of us kind of fall into what we’re doing, whether we’re in an employed role or running our own business. If you’re clear on why you’re really doing what you're doing, why it’s meaningful to you, why you chose to do it, how it contributes to your life, then - I believe - you know what happiness means.
My why? Why am I a speaker, coach and trainer in (self) dialogue? The quality of the connection you create with another person is determined by the quality of the connection you have with yourself. I am sometimes a teacher and always a student. Self dialogue is not a destination but a journey. And I'm grateful for the inspiration, love and support from all the people I've met since I'm on my mission to not only be a messenger of dialogue but fully embrace it as my DNA, by nature and by nurture. Now I feel blessed to say that I love seeing people transform during my coaching sessions, workshops and speaking.
Where my passion for dialogue comes from? It is born during my time as Dutch MP (Member of Parliament). It was actually born out of frustration because of a severe lack of human connection in the political arena. I believe it's time for politics that initiates human connection. Politics that creates understanding and effective solutions for social issues. Politics that serves the oneness of humanity. And I believe it all starts with (self) dialogue.
I love being a social entrepreneur and I love having (business) partners. As a Mindvalley Master Certified Trainer, I am also an official representative and local facilitator for Mindvalley - and I deliver transformation workshops, seminars and coaching using Mindvalley methodologies and teachings. For 3 years I have also been an educator at The School of Life Amsterdam. The School of Life is a global organisation dedicated to developing emotional intelligence - applying psychology, philosophy, and culture to everyday life.
In short, I am contributing to the Global School for Humanity, rooted in the idea of transformational education and community. And I am happy.
How about you? Leave me a message below this blog.
