None Of You Believe Until...

None of you will believe until you love for your brother and sister what you love for yourself.” These words are shared by prophet Muhammed ﷺ. This is one of my favourite quotes of him. It is one of the many expressions of his love for humanity. In this season of my life in different areas, such as my work and my love relationship, I find myself benefitting immensely from what I have learned so far from prophet Muhammed’s ﷺ legacy of unconditional love.

As you might have read in my previous blog posts, my personal development journey has taken me into science and Islam to understand my passion, (self) dialogue, on a deeper level. My understanding is still in progress, but after reading many books about prophet Muhammed ﷺ - his biography, history and facts - I am mind blown by the value and countless gifts for ones personal development and mastery of life.

In short, prophet Muhammed ﷺ was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of Islam - a timeless message of love, mercy, peace, freedom, justice and unity. He was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.

Islam means surrender in peace. Surrender in peace to Allah - the origin of love and the same singular God that is referred to in the Torah in Hebrew as Elohim, or spoken by Jesus in Aramaic as the strikingly similar Allaha. This surrender is the ultimate act of love, called worship, and it is not that you have to seek for love (from Allah), but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. This love is the core of unconditional love.

So every time I am being challenged to go next level in understanding and living unconditional love, it is prophet Muhammed ﷺ with his words, actions and way of life - this is called Sunnah - that’s my go to place for guidance on how to not only choose but also how to apply love over fear. This is why in Islam not only the Qur’an but also the Sunnah and in particular the Hadith, his recorded sayings, are the foundation.

Although I am very much still a humble student, I do feel like sharing my insights so far.
