Journey Of An Entrepreneur

Being an entrepreneur has never been an end in itself for me. I have always seen entrepreneurship as a vehicle for a purpose. As long as I can do what I believe in and I have the freedom to get the best out of myself, it does not matter to me, whether I work within a (public) organisation, company or as an entrepreneur.

My passion for dialogue was born out of frustration, early in my political career in 2012. Then it took no less than 4 years before I dared to take the step to become a full-time entrepreneur. I needed four years to get a clear understanding of what my calling was and how I could make that passion for dialogue more concrete. Becoming an entrepreneur became a conclusion I could draw only after I had all the answers, over the years.

My mother has been an entrepreneur for 30 years now. As a child I worked in the hairdresser and beauty salon during the weekends. Serving coffee, cleaning up towels, wiping hair and talking to customers. I learned early on what it meant to be an entrepreneur - the beautiful and less beautiful sides. I quickly knew one thing: my mother had a real passion for skin and hair. That's why she did what she did. That is why she could grow, learn and deal with entrepreneurship. That is why she was a successful entrepreneur.

So I needed time to get to know my passion better. To know how deep that passion goes. And especially how I can translate that passion into a service that benefits others. I could not have done the latter without a personal (business) coach. For me, a coach is someone who tells you what you don't want to hear, who has you see what you don't want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be. I found my coach in Lisa Nichols.

When we are together and we share things with each other, I feel all masks slide away from me. She makes my growth cruve steep more than ever, but crazy enough growing and learning is now easier than ever. That is what a coach can do for you. That is what I do for others now. That is why - at the request of many - besides the coaching programs for (self-) dialogue, intuition and speaking, I now also offer business coaching.

Many people find the freedom of being your own boss to be the best part as an entrepreneur. And I understand that. For me, the benefit goes a little deeper. I love the freedom to do it my way, to sail on my inner compass and to feel love when something falls into place and is embraced by others. For me, that's success in its purest form. That's what being an entrepreneur is all about for me.

Are you an entrepreneur? Do you want to be one? Leave your comment, I'd love to hear from you.
