Your Dream, My Dream, Our Dream

Sometimes supporting others build their dream, serves your dream.

I simply love entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations that help people transform, help people make a shift in their way of thinking. A shift that's required before people can begin to understand, experience and embrace dialogue - human connection. That’s why I love supporting the dream of my dear friend Vishen Lakhiani - founder of Mindvalley - and Laurens Knoop - founder of The School of Life Amsterdam.

Let’s start with Mindvalley. You've probably noticed that I love this company. Mindvalley incubates and grows businesses that innovate on transformational education dedicated to unleashing humanity's greatest potential. But Mindvalley is more than an education company. It's a community of 3+ million people across 100+ countries dedicated to becoming the most extraordinary versions of themselves. As a Mindvalley Master Certified Trainer, I contribute to this Global School for Humanity. I am an official representative and local facilitator for Mindvalley - and I deliver transformation workshops, seminars and coaching using Mindvalley methodologies and teachings.

My love goes also to The School of Life Amsterdam. As an educator I have contributed to its mission to share clear ideas and advise for life issues. The School of Life is a global organisation dedicated to developing emotional intelligence - applying psychology, philosophy, and culture to everyday life. Besides the very clear and wonderfully enlightening content, TSOL Amsterdam gave me something that can’t be easily found: my colleagues. The journey as a (starting) entrepreneur has many amazing aspects but a less amazing one is that it can feel lonely sometimes. Having Like-minded, inspiring and joyful people around you, takes you and your work to a higher level. And even better, it makes the journey way more important than any goal you can imagine.

Mindvalley and TSOL have both their own unique identity - evolved into strong brands. Both offer personal growth content. More accurate, they both help humanity waking up and growing up. Competition? I’d say we need way more Mindvalley’s and TSOL’s to inspire, support and accelerate the awakening of humanity. There’s a shift in consciousness happening - slowly but surely. And we need every single one of us in this evolution of human beings.

As an entrepreneur I believe competition is based on a scarcity mindset. It’s a mindset that I never had in life and after my experience in politics - political systems “inspire you strongly” to embrace a sarcity mindset - I am more than ever aware how many of us (still) lack an abundance based mindset.

If you understand that your mindset creates the reality of the world around you, you want to manage abundance- versus scarcity-based thinking. Understanding the differences between the two and adopting an abundance-based mentality will help you, those around you and your business grow. Because you are focussing on possibilities; seeing and seizing opportunities.

Do you believe in competition? How’s your personal growth journey? Which content, company or person inspires you? Leave me a message in the comment section below, I’d love to hear from you.
